Hi My Name is Jannie Pieterse, and welcome to the birth of this blog. MiMeye.com(Pronounced: [MyMydotcom] as if you didnt know that)

Why this Blog?
Why you might ask did I start ANOTHER blog about making money online, are there NOT enough “Make Money Online” blogs out there and what will make this one so much better than those.
Well the answer is, No there is not enough out there, cause more information is always better than less.
The answer to the second question, well I really think that you would find this blog of most interest. Let me tell you why…

My idea with this blog is to progresivly build up an informative case studyof my progress into the world of  online money making busines, and I am going to try and make this blog so easy to follow, that anybody who follows my progress will be able to follow my lead an reach the point of becomming a very successfull internet marketer/pro blogger/work from home guru.

So how does that sound, anybody with me for the ride.

Who am I?
What a big interesting question.

My name is Jannie Pieterse (Yeh, I know that I have said that already). I live in South Africa and I am married to a wonderful wife and we have a great little boy(He is realy a bit naughty sometimes, but thats kids for ya).

What make my path to internet success a bit more tough, is that South Africa has some very interesting foreign money polocies, which is one of the reasons that south affricans are unable to recieve money via Paypal accounts, and some other income Payment methods are blocked too, but there is ways to any goal…somebody once said, “Where there is a will, there IS a Way.” But I will discuss these options in anther post later.

Back to my story again. I am a Java programmer for a local company here in South Africa, I am currently working on a very big project for govrnment and I am not earning a bad income, well actualy in South African comparison, I am earning upper class income. But as most people with BIG dreams, this just is not going to get me where I want to be. So the natural big step was to start my own sideline business… So together with a partner, we started a marketing, advertising and branding company:”MADMEDIA Marketing and Advertising”, nice catchy name isnt it www.themad.co.za ….

This I found was the most stressfull thing that I have ever come across, aspecially whe the global economic crisis hit the wolrd. South Africa was in a sort of good position thank to our minister of finance Trevor Manual, who implemented new credit act about three years prior to the global economic crisis and Govener of the Reserve Bank Tito Mboweni who pushed up the interest rates, which effectivly crashed the South African booming Property Market, but saved most people from financial ruins. People hated these two for a while, but when the Global economic crisis hit, Most South africans and  the country itself were in quite a good position with regards to GDP and CPI. Cause People and Companies were forced to spend less on credit and save more. But allas this could NOT last forever as the worlds problems do effectively spill over into the developing countries, and in May 2009 it was anounced that South Africa’s Economy has officialy joined the world and gone into recesion.  Just these words being printed in the press, was enough for my business to lose many pending deals as clients were quoting these words from the press.

Oh yeh, I am dwindeling off topic. Needless to say that our company took a couple off big blows, and top that off we had some clients NOT paying for work that we had done.

During all this time, I was allways searching the internet for ways that I could make some aditional money online. Ut to this point where I am writing this blog, I have spent almost 6 years reading ALLOT of ebooks about how to make money online with adsense, how to make money online with affiliate marketing,  how to earn money online by doing this and how to earn money online by doing that.

Needless to say that throught the many years of research I have till now never had the courage to actually put any of there practices to test. I guese even though I had so read so much and watched so many videos, I still had this lingering subconcious lack of confidence. Up until the other day when really struggeling with cash flow in the business and having to take a second mortgage(R150000 – about $15,000) on my house just to settle overdue accounts for the business. This really got me thingking. NOW is the time to get started and use all this information that I have accumulated over the years.

But I didnt just want to do it, I decided that I would log my progress, and all the steps I took to reach my goals. This way, other people who are newbies or even the onese like me who have all the information, but lack the confidence will be able to follow my lead and start theire own path to success.

I hope I made a good impression on you, and you will follow my progress.
